Easter Eggs & Real Estate
Those of you who know me know how passionate I am about third party testimonials. By using a narrative to make your point you’ll accomplish two things: comprehension (they’ll ‘get it’), and recollection (they’ll remember it)... And hopefully, they’ll act on it!
Below is a blog that my son and partner, John, recently wrote on our brokerage website for our customers and prospects. We’re constantly looking for word pictures to help our clients understand the value of ‘getting ahead of the crowd’ and ‘cherry picking the low hanging fruit’. Enjoy the read and feel free to share this story with your customers.
As always, let me know if I can be of assistance in any way.
Easter Eggs & Real Estate:
Last week my wife and I took our two boys (Jack & Finn) to the Lowcountry’s largest Easter Egg Hunt. Imagine hundreds of kids and over 40,000 eggs, on one football field. I should qualify that… the ‘hunts’ were broken down by age group in order to protect the young ones from an Easter stampede!
They would scatter eggs across the field, line the kids around the perimeter by age group, and then announce ‘go’... It was mayhem! The kids, of course, had a blast and we enjoyed their smiles and laughter.
Oddly, you can learn a lot about life and business by watching the mother of all Easter Egg Hunts. Having seen ‘this show’ before, my wife (Erin) encouraged the boys to stay away from the perimeter and to head straight for the middle of the field. In effect, she told them to ‘get ahead of the crowd’ and cherry pick the most/best opportunities.
Real estate has striking parallels. The buyers that get ahead of the crowd enjoy the best selection and the best values. Those that sit back and follow the crowd ultimately fight for the scraps.
The data today is irrefutable; sales are jumping in the Lowcountry. Don’t wait and fight for the scraps when the public realizes what’s happening. ‘Head to the middle of the field’ and get ahead of the crowd.
You’ll enjoy the best selection and best values if you act now.
