“How’s the market?”
When asked, “How’s the market,” how do most real estate agents respond today?
Unfortunately, many tend to respond with, “It’s slow.” “The worst that I’ve ever seen.” Etc.
Alternately, some agents try to respond with, “It’s a great time to buy,” but their faces and lack of enthusiasm send a much different message.
If you walk into a department store and they are running a sale where prices are 30% to 50% off, are the sales people excited or depressed? They’re excited!
Selection, prices, and rates have aligned today to create a generational opportunity for buyers. It’s about time that we recognize that this opportunity may not appear again in our lifetime.
The next time a prospective buyer asks, “How’s the market” let me suggest that you respond with, “It’s great! We are having an incredible, once every other decade sale!!!”
Enthusiasm sells and it is contagious. Let’s get excited about our market opportunity and spread it to our buyers. Good things will happen!
