By God’s grace I am back in the office after a successful pancreatic cancer surgery on May 12th at Sloan Kettering in NYC. For those of you who are aware of my situation, I greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
I start chemo treatment next week, but don’t anticipate that affecting me more than one day a week. Someone asked me yesterday when I would be able to resume my sales training / consulting, and I said, “NOW!”

You all know that I emphasize the use of authentic 3rd party testimonials. I was just talking to my son and partner, John, and he told me a friend asked him, “Are you sharing your Dad’s health situation as a 3rd party testimonial on cherishing each day, the brevity of life, and why buy now?”
John responded with, “Absolutely; but now I am sharing this with my clients because I REALLY BELIEVE IT!”
I’ve learned just how fragile life can be. One moment everything is fine and the next moment you are in a doctor’s office and he’s telling you that you have pancreatic cancer with a 5% survival rate beyond one year.
Suddenly you put things in perspective on what’s really important. For me it is my faith, family, and friends and time with each of them.
Feel free to share my story with your clients considering buying. If financially buying your product won’t take food off their table (i.e. - they can afford it) then I would encourage them to go ahead and pick up a place to spend time with their family and friends. And make memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Whatever you (or they) do, make the most of ‘now’!
